10 of the Most Dangerous Travel Destinations for Women (& How to Stay Safe)
#9 – Turkey

The political situation in Turkey is still unstable. The terrorist attacks and the suicide bombings are still in continuity. Many people have lost their friends, family, and loved ones too in such past incidents during the year of 2016. For this reason, the State Department calls American citizens to reconsider the travel to Turkey.
Trip.com’s advice for how to stay safe:
• You don’t have to worry about sexual harassment or assault as it is not a familiar phenomenon in Turkey. Rather, you can take into consideration wearing modestly and covering your head when visiting conservative areas. (a mosque, for example)
• If you must take a taxi, make sure you take it from crowded places and well-lighted spots too.
• If you coincide with an aggressive shopkeeper or restaurant owner who treats you in such a rude way, just don’t answer them back. Neglect them and walk away.
• Definitely, you must live the experience of Turkish Hammam and spend some quality time.
