Julia Pond says that India is the most favorite spot on earth for female travelers and also the most mysterious one. The degree of risk varies according to its wide and varied regions.

India had been attacked in the past and continues to experience such incidents at the present time. Most of the targeted places were the crowded and public ones, cinemas, train stations, mosques, restaurants, and many other places.

Of course, there are many pieces of advice that solo travelers are strongly recommended to take, mainly we find:

• Be your own guard. Watch over yourself and keep your eyes wide open. Sexual assaults are a very serious and heavy problem in India.

• Cover yourself from head to toe. Wear large clothes and if you can afford to buy Indian clothes, then please do.

• Staring and gazing is something you will experience a lot there. No worries, you will get used to it. To them, you are a complete stranger.

• Try your hardest to wake up early and explore the place in the daylight and totally avoid staying out late. Nights in India are not really safe.

• If you are obliged to take the train, do not buy an economy class ticket. Pamper yourself with the highest-class train ticket. Also, remember to take women transportation only when you are in a city like Delhi.

• If you are staying in a small town avoid walking alone at night and if it was necessary should you have a male with you.

• There are many cities in India that are said to be safe, namely, Rishikesh Gujarat, Punjab, and Calcutta, and also regions like Kerala. And if you are confused where to stay in these places then our advice is definitely guesthouses. It’s always fun and lovely to be there.

• Before you leave your mother country, remember to take with you a small doorstop in case you felt uncomfortable in the accommodation you are staying at. Doorstops are useful because in case an intruder broke into your room, they won’t be able to come in easily. This way you will have enough time to scream asking for help.
