Peru is the top 5 on the list. It’s known for so many violent crimes, including armed robberies, abductions, hijacking, carjacking, and the list is still too long. For this reason, it is considered to be dangerous.

• Don’t stand in the middle of the street and wait for a taxi. You’d better ask your hotel to give you the number of a trusted company.
• When you get in the taxi, put your suitcase in the trunk and your handbag or purse under your feet.
• If you are planning do some hiking then make sure you take the most popular and crowded roads.
• Don’t be wearing too much of jewelry and valuables. Keep it simple. Simplicity, as it is worldly said, speaks volumes.
• Always wear cross-body bag, this makes it too hard for a thief to steal it and run. Also, leave your credit card, cash in a better place in your hotel and carry only the amount you need.

• If you are planning to visit The Andes mountains, it would be worth mentioning that taking a highway bus to get there could be extremely dangerous. First, because it’s very difficult to drive there. Second, such cheap companies do not really enforce safety rules. So, you’d better find another way.
