#4 – Sudan

2016 has been the year of violence in Sudan. A report by the United Nations in July states that there was an unexpected violence between the period of 8 and 12 July, which led to hundreds of people being killed in South Sudan. And around 200 more were raped.

The fighting that emerged in July 2016 was a real decline for peace in South Sudan which demonstrated how things can suddenly turn violent.

#3 – Somalia

Somalia, a country in Africa came as the 159th out of 163 most dangerous countries, according to a report conducted by United Nations on 17 January 2017.

The country is undergoing extreme drought which leads Somalis to suffer on a daily basis from food and water shortage. Globally speaking, more than three million don’t have access to basic human needs including clean water, sanitation, and hygiene.

Around five million need immediate aid. Peter de Clercq, the humanitarian coordinator for Somalia, urges humanitarians that people need prompt support and help to prevent any further deterioration of the situation.
