To stay safe, when you need ice, call the front desk and ask them for plastic bags to hold ice so you can avoid swallowing harmful bacteria along with your drink.
Actually, these ice buckets are supposed to be cleaned at least once every month, but that’s probably not happening. Just pretend there is no ice bucket in the room.
